DRIVER DAILY PROTOCOL

Driver AM:

Arrive 5:45AM

1) Clock in

2) Open DriverAnywhere app and push “Start Trip”

3) Take key and perform your vehicle inspection list (5 mins) and inform manager of any problems as soon as possible.

4) Inspect route and understand who you are driving, where you are driving to, etc. and if there are any changes (5 min)

5) Be in parking lot in front of PT Solutions (blue awning) 3 mins before your route is set to leave the garage to pick up Aide. *Visible from the office windows

6) Start route on time.

7) Once you make it to your destination:

Picking Up:

1) Stop car

2) Park in available spot near destination. If no parking available, stop in the middle of the road and put hazard lights on. Pay attention to area surrounding vehicle to make sure it is clear and safe of hazards.

3) DRIVER DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR.

4) If it is reasonable or necessary, assist Aide. If that means helping to get kids in and out safely, please assist in any way necessary. ESPECIALLY FOR WHEELCHAIR ROUTES.

5) DRIVERS JOB IS TO WATCH CONDITIONS FOR CHILDREN AND AIDE MAKING IT SAFELY IN AND OUT OF VEHICLE.

Once you arrive to School:

1) Driver stops at designated parking spot

2) If no parking available, stop in the middle of the road and put hazard lights on. Pay attention to area surrounding vehicle to make sure it is clear and safe of hazards.

3) DRIVER DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR.

4) If it is reasonable or necessary, assist Aide. If that means helping to get kids in and out safely, please assist in any way necessary. ESPECIALLY FOR WHEELCHAIR ROUTES.

5) DRIVERS JOB IS TO WATCH CONDITIONS FOR CHILDREN AND AIDE MAKING IT SAFELY IN AND OUT OF VEHICLE.

Once you make it back base:

1)Punch out

2)Inform management about your plan to be available for private before midday route.

*If you are doing private routes, inform management that you are ready or that you are leaving.
